Thanks Amanda. I can’t believe a year ago I was just starting down this path. You’ve helped me achieve more than I could have hoped. As you know I started out in September 2008 trying to lose weight and join the Army. Through the course of six month I lost 90 pounds and got in good enough shape to not only join the Army, but to earn one of the more elite jobs as a paratrooper with the infantry. This was always dream and you helped me achieve it. You helped me plan out a diet that I could follow, one that didn’t ask more of me at any time than I could do. Something that I could follow, but that stretched me to try and enjoy new things I never had before. You also helped me with a weight loosing, muscle building program that I could do in between my hugely busy schedule. Just think… I went from 290 pounds in September to 201 pounds in April all while going to school full time, working overtime, and learning/teaching assisting Shaolin-Do to the point of getting my black belt. The thing I find most interesting is that I was stronger and slimmer with your plan than anything the Army has to offer. I find that if I want the best results I have to continue to work your plan and not worry too much about the PT in the Army, it just doesn’t deliver the same results. You not only helped me, but you taught me, so I can adjust to any circumstance as well as help to teach others. Thank you, truly from the bottom of my heart, thank you. My name is David Sullivan. I’m a 47 year old banker and because I sit at a desk all day, I’ve always tried to exercise and stay in shape, but I was losing the battle. Last year in mid-July I came to the realization that I needed to do something different. I was working out lifting weights faithfully and even trying to run 2-3 days a week to keep the ole heart in good shape, but the reality was, I wasn’t getting anywhere. In fact, I was gaining weight and getting is worse shape. I’ve always defined stupidity as “doing the same things the same way and expecting different results” and that’s exactly what I was doing. So, I made a promise to myself to change my life.

A good friend of mine, Johnny Knotts (see testimony on this page) introduced me to Amanda in July of 2006. I first started working with Amanda on August 4, 2006 and at that time I was 208 pounds and 27.8% body fat. At 5’8” tall, I found myself grossly overweight and I was not happy with what I had become – middle aged and overweight. So I set a goal for myself that I wanted to be below 175 pounds and at 10% body fat by October 15, 2006.

Amanda revolutionized my workout. She brought a new intensity to my workout that I had never before known. She brought knowledge of the human body and how it interacts with food and taught me how to eat to achieve the success I wanted in my life physically. I found her to be far more than a personal trainer, which is what I thought I was getting when I started working with her. She was, and still is, genuinely interested in me as a person and seeing that I achieve everything in life I want to achieve. I now consider Amanda a close friend. She imparted knowledge to me about foods and how they interact with the human body; about exercise and how if effects our muscles and how to bring intensity into my workout to achieve results I had not seen before. The habits applied in the gym and on the treadmill carry over into my professional and personal life and have had positive impacts in many areas of my life. Mostly it has taught me discipline.

As a businessman, the majority of my business is conducted over meals. Eating out 2-3 times a day – and I mean EVERYDAY – was a real concern for Amanda and me and whether or not I would be able to achieve the personal weight and body fat goals I had set for myself. And, in the beginning it was very difficult. I quickly learned from Amanda how to plan where I was going to eat my meals each day, to carefully choose the restaurants at which I would meet clients based on their menus and then how to properly choose what to eat. And it worked and is still working.

October 15th came and went and I’m proud to say that on the day I weighed 174.5 pounds and had reduced my body fat down to 11.44% - that was a drop of 33.5 pounds and 16.4% drop in body fat in 71 days!!! Now, at 47 years old and 8 months later, I’m still maintaining the weight and body fat. I feel as though I have a new lease on life. I have tons more energy. I no longer “brown-out” in the mid afternoons but cruise through the day with ease; and I feel more like 32 years old than 47 – even my 3 teenage boys have commented that I don’t act 47 anymore but much younger.

The most difficult part of my transformation was realizing that I was overweight and had a problem – once that realization came to light the change was possible – not easy – but achievable.

When I decided to commit to changing the life-style that got me to where I was (overweight and inactive), I looked for someone who ‘walked the talk’ – someone who lived what they taught. Amanda agreed to take me on as a client, and I am making amazing progress.

As a nurse consultant and retired professor of nursing, I am particularly interested in following a program based on individualized which is data coordinated with a scientifically based program of nutrition and exercise. I still remember sitting in my office in July 2006, looking down at my 265 pound body and deciding it had to change. Like most people, I wanted to do the right thing my whole life, wanted to exercise, wanted to eat right but for some reason I couldn’t get it done.

Things were different now. I was a few months away from getting married and wanting to start a family. This was a changing point in my life. My father was a heavy man and passed away at the young age of 46 due to a heart attack. He left my mother a widow and my brother, sister and me fatherless. I decided then and there not to do the same to my future wife and family.

God brings to your life exactly what you need when you decide to make a change. I met Amanda in my Kung Fu class, which I signed up for to try and lose weight. I told her my goals - to drop 65 pounds and reach a weight of 200 by my wedding. She said that by following her plan and trainings, she could have me at 180 by my wedding. I honestly did not believe her, but I said if God brought her to my life I would do whatever I could this time.

Sure enough, by the time I got married in January 2007, I weighed 175. I was 90 pounds lighter than I started. My best friend from childhood and my own mother walked past me at our hotel. They barely recognized me. When my mother saw me she cried. She could not believe her son, who’s been heavy his whole life, was skinny.

It has been three months since the wedding and I continue to lose weight. I am at 16% body fat on my way to under 10%. Amanda’s methods work. They are customized, efficient and effective. Like most people, I have tried every single combination of diet and exercise known to mankind, including the starvation method. I am only 31 years old, but my goal of losing 25 pounds of fat seemed so far out of reach that I was creating new ways to justify my excess weight.

Johnny BeforeHello, my name is Johnny Knotts. I am a 46 year old ex-athlete who has always been in relatively good shape. In my younger days I played basketball, football, and soccer, and until a year ago I had been running and lifting weights consistently in order to stay in shape. But while I looked fit enough, I did not feel that I had reached my potential body type and I was not sure what I could do to push myself greater.

For many years I would run five miles three days a week and alternate by lifting weightsevery other day. The problem arose when I realized that no matter how hard I worked, the extra weight around my abdomen and at 22%. The more I ran, the would not disappear my body fat remained more frustrated I felt that even with all I did to exercise, my body fat was not decreasing.
